Legacy Thread is a sustainable fashion consultancy supporting fashion brands, artisan businesses, and purpose-driven organisations through business planning, operational development, and strategic advisory. From building growth strategies and pricing structures to optimising supply chains, launching new programmes, and supporting complex projects, the consultancy combines strategic expertise with hands-on collaboration to help organisations grow sustainably and turn their vision into action.
Founded by Ludovica d’Andria in 2023, Legacy Thread draws on more than a decade of experience at the intersection of sustainability, strategy, and operations. Her journey has unfolded across Europe, North America, East Africa, and China, working across global supply chains and production contexts. Along the way, one thing became clear: the success of creative businesses depends not only on what they create, but on the structures that allow them to grow.
THE EXPERIENCE THAT SHAPED LEGACY THREAD
The defining chapter that led to the founding of Legacy Thread took place during four transformative years in Kenya. There, Ludovica worked across both the private and public sectors, collaborating with fashion brands, creative entrepreneurs, artisan communities, non-profit organisations, and international institutions such as the United Nations’ International Trade Centre. Through this work, she witnessed the power of creativity, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurship, and met creatives whose ideas carried immense potential and ambition to grow into strong businesses. This experience shaped Legacy Thread’s mission: to provide hands-on strategic and operational support, helping value-driven businesses come to life, grow sustainably, and navigate complex projects.
Alongside this work, Ludovica contributes to European policy initiatives and academic programmes reshaping how the world designs, makes, and trades. As a NEST Fellow, she mentors artisan-led enterprises in building resilient business models and supports global programmes advancing a more equitable fashion industry. She also serves as Project Coordinator for Fashion Revolution Italy.
